R Palmer & Sons Ltd is a family engineering firm run by two brothers in the village of Fordham, close to Cambridge. Established for over 50 years, we run a skilled workshop dealing in a wide variety of jobs and services to local agriculture and the public. We began in 1962 as a small workshop alongside the family dairy farm run by Roger Palmer. Mike & Dave joined the business in the 1990’s and in 2003 a new purpose built workshop was put up on the land originally owned by their grandfather, Harry Palmer. We employ two men and an apprentice who all work hard to give the customer a reliable and high standard of work. The business has expanded from farm machinery and mechanics to include fabrication of gates and railings but the jobs we take on can very often be unusual and creative as you can see on our gallery.
